Hello my name is Diego I'm a happy world citizen born in Mexico living in France.

I am curious about everything. My friends describe me as a social being, relaxed, enthusiastic and a little crazy ahah (I contemplate trees and stuff).

I like meeting people with whom I can just have a a meal, a laugh or play a game (sports/board games) or go into deep conversations and culture sharing if we feel like it. My Latin roots made me like dancing salsa and bachata, but I’m into all genres and styles of dances. Recently I discovered Butoh and it was eye opening (although I consider it more of a meditation).

The last couple of years I worked as an algae biologist to explore unknown flavors, materials and ingredients. I decided to change some habits to reduce my footprint and do more to defend human rights ! Eating mostly plant based 🌱 is one of them. Also, im good in the kitchen and will gladly cook something new for you. Wanna try ? 😄

Update - on summer 2024 I quit my job and became nomad. I want to exit my confort bubble and experience and savour life as much as I can. I lived in Catalunya a couple of months. Now I’m headed towards South America (Oi tudo bem? 😎) and plan to visit Brazil + 2 or 3 more countries before changing continents !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because the world is a big perpetual wave and I want to get on a couch and surf it. (I wrote that when I was 19 and I'm going to leave it there)
