À propos de moi

I'm Diego and I'll tell you all you wanna hear over a drink or two. Or five.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

'Cause I wanna meet new people in new and different places, exchange with them about our different experiences and ways in life, learning and growing closer to my humanist ideas.

Centres d'intérêt

Human-rights enthusiast with quite a bit to say about development and democracy in a post-colonial world. Big fan of History, its peoples and cultures around the world. Fascinated by morality in the times of the internet 2.0, AI, art and cynism, hedonism, cultural exchanges and everything that's delicious and can be eaten or drunk.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

- MUSIC: Been listening to a lot of Benjamin Clementine, Ben Mazué, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar and Jamie XX lately. Throw in the mix somethig in Spanish (Calle 13 is an all time favorite), some classics (Nina Simone for the rainy days) and some future-classics (have you heard of Hiatus Kaiyote? ... DUUUUUUUDE). James Blake and Foals make up most of my life's soundtrack and sometimes, when the night is at its darkest, I sit alone in a chair and quietly play hardcore-pop music while thinking of impending doom (please don't tell anyone).

- MOVIES: Saw "Juste la fin du monde" the other night and it's freaking good, you should watch it! Fan of the likes of Gaspar Noé , Pablo Larraín, Pedro Almodovar, early Quentin Tarantino, late Woody Allen, and recently began exploring a new-found taste for Moroccan cinema.

- BOOKS: Depressing poetry, dark humour and useless information are my areas of expertise.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Once I partied for 10 straight days through the Balkans and didn't die.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

Good thoughts, good words, good actions.

Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes

Count me in for long nights of drinking wine and philosophizing about the truth of life, if you're lucky I'll show you the proper and secret mexican way to drink Tequila, might cook if you're ready to take the risk (it's a wild card but can be very good!) and will always be up for a good time. Got a bunch of crazy stories to share and you'll be invited to join me making newer, crazier ones :D All in good spirits, I don't take too much space and can read you some excellent poetry in Spanish upon request.
