Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy making new friends, learning about their lives, and having great experiences with them--and I think that couchsurfing is a great way to do all those things!

Interests

Playing musical instruments - clarinet, piano, guitar, violin (a little bit)
Math and computer science - from taking classes/teaching
Traveling - been to over a dozen countries, studied abroad in Berlin during college
Other - going to concerts, listening to music, eating, playing board games, meeting new people.

Music - I enjoy classical music, jazz, musicals, really anything that sounds interesting
Movies - comedy, drama, Pixar, etc. Also a lot of German films from cinema courses I've taken.
Books - The Talent Code, Pedagogy of the Oppressed, Freakonomics, Clash by Hazel Markus, Improv Wisdom, Gödel Escher Bach

I enjoy learning about other people's interests, experiences, and perspectives. I especially like talking about music, math, computer science, and related topics, though anything is fine really.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm happy to help with chores, cooking, and other household tasks. Also, if I have my clarinet with me, I'd be happy to make music for/with you :)
