ABOUT ME

I grew up in Puerto Rico for 16 years, where I played sports (basketball, volleyball, golf). Golf brought me to the US with an opportunity to play in a high school in Lafayette, LA. Then I got a college golf scholarship in Shreveport, LA, where I started studying Biology, and started playing music. After three semesters, I called it quits. Moved back down to Lafayette, started a band, finished my studies, and now I'm looking at the near future options of life, which include Natural Medicine School, or graduate school for Biology.

PHILOSOPHY

My goal in life is to become the best me I can be. That is what some will call "holiness". And what people refer to as "God" (which I believe in), I find wherever "love" is. So i say "God is Love". If you want to call it God, or "Oscar", or whatever you want. If there is love, there is "Oscar", or "God", for those who like to call it "God". I am open to all perspectives in life, and like to take something from everybody I meet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well I'm just joining the CS project because I heard it is the way to meet new places and people. I want to start surfing in a month, when I embark on my roadtrip to Oregon with my girlfriend... When I get back, I will begin to host surfers... I have done this before (for touring musicians etc), just not under the CS Project...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Like I said, I JUST joined Couch Surfers. This doesn't mean I haven't Couch Surfed before. I have been on plenty music trips that include the act of "couch surfing". All in all, I conclude that when one "couch surfs", one experiences the city/town that you are visiting in a much more genuine way that if you google things to do in (enter town name)...

Interests

I like playing music, dancing (latin, cajun), i am interested in science and what it attempts to explain. I also like to make people smile and be happy.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like early blues music, folk, cajun and zydeco. I like rock (alternative, rock&roll, etc... not really metal, hard rock, screamo, or what people call "indie", although i like bands that can be put in that category.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach: spanish, guitar, biology, organic chemistry, and physics.
