ABOUT ME

I am an open-minded, very spontaneous, sometimes a little crazy person. I love to joke around with friends, celebrate without any particular occasion, go out dancing and laugh all night long. On the other hand I sometimes need time for myself, read a book or listen to music and basically do nothing. I enjoy traveling, especially outside of Europe. I like to get to know other cultures and languages and can't get to know enough new people. I don't think there are many more interesting things than the stories people can tell you about their lifes, their experiences and opinions.
Furthermore, I do a lot of sports. I've been doing skating since I was 7 which was about 14 years ago ; )
I also play hockey, love to snowboard even though I've not been doing it often enough to say that I am actually good at it, and in summer I do all kinds of outside activities.
As I've been living at the ocean side all my life, I always need water around the place that I live in. To really enjoy and fall in love with a city or other place there has to be a big lake (e.g. in Chicago) or the ocean nearby.

PHILOSOPHY

The head is round so that thoughts can switch direction. As you will never be able to solve problems with the same way of thinking that created them, people should use the flexibility of their minds much more often.
Also, I think everything in life happens for some reason, so I try not to despair of something but see the good in everything. I don't like to be pessimistic but hopeful and enthusiastic.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just joined the couchsurfing community, therefore I am simply excited about this great way of communication and interaction by now. I would love to welcome people from all over the world here in this little town, offer my couch and spend some time showing them all the beautiful sights and anything else that might be of interest.

Interests

As I already said earlier, I am mainly interested in people, good conversations, traveling and sports. Off of these things I just can't get enough!

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't watch that many movies and if I do, I don't have a special type of film that I like most. I only dislike horror movies and science fiction.
It's basically the same with music, it depends on my mood and the situation which kind of music I like to listen to. Quite often it's something between Alicia Keys, Jamie Cullum, Jack Johnson and some German singer/songwriters. But I also listen to Rock, Indie and all kinds of other music from time to time.
