我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

In 2013, I spent nearly a year preparing for the TOEFL iBT exam and doing a lot of reading. However, the more I learned, the more I felt that my knowledge of the world was insufficient. I desired to learn by traveling, not just reading about it on the internet.

One day, I attended a Couchsurfing event in Hanoi without yet having explored the website... and it was an absolutely amazing experience!

For the first time in my life, I saw individuals from different nations come together, share drinks, laughs, and openly discuss their incredible journeys. As I listened to them, I was filled with excitement. Some had journeyed to over 100 countries, while others had quit their jobs to spend years traveling, and there were even members over 60 years old. Each person had a fascinating story to share and discuss. I left the event thinking, "I really want to join them, but what stories do I have?"

And that's how I found Couchsurfing.
