ABOUT ME

Hey! My name is Dieske. You can call me Disco which is my traveler's nickname. When I was in Sri Lanka in 2013 locals started calling me Disco because it's easier to pronounce, easier to remember and just... fun. Since then I usually introduce myself as Disco :-)

I'm currently (parttime) working as a sustainability advisor for the local government and combine this with being a professional athlete in (offroad) triathlon and cycling. I live in a tiny house but also go back to my roots frequently, which is at an organic farm in the Eastern countryside in the Netherlands. I'm social and outgoing and love the outdoors

Couchsurfing is a great way to meet new people to have fun with and experience places in a different way. I enjoy to see people from all over the world living in different environments and cultures. I think being part of this is a fantastic experience and find it inspiring as well.

Also, I think there's no better way to get to know a new place than using the knowledge of the people who live there.
