Hi fellow stranger!

I am Dieter, a young Belgian with a desire to explore.
Even though I'm still quite young, I've experienced enough in my 19 years on this planet to fill multiple evenings with interesting stories about my life and the things I've encountered. I am obsessed with travelling and I always try to mix things up when it comes to destinations to get a taste of as much cultures as possible.

You'll always find me with a big smile and ready to cheer you up when you need it most. When you would be so kind to offer me a stay at your home, I would make sure the both of us have the experience of a lifetime.

I'm following a Bachelor in Trade Engeneering at Ghent University (but please, if I am staying with you, we should have more interesting stuff to talk about than my college courses :-) ). Altough I can enjoy the occasional debate on current economics.

I really love the city-life but over the past years I've come to love the peace and balance of nature.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I am looking for a friend(/guide) showing me the real experience instead of the normal tourist stuff. I don't go to a country to lie in some hotel chair by a pool for seven days. If I go somewhere, I want to leave the place with a feeling that I experienced something unique I could not recreate at home. I want to visit the spots that other people just walk by and try to take in as much as I am able to.

I was there when hurricane Sandy hit New York and experienced 2 earthquakes in Italy.
