ABOUT ME

I'm a 25 year old girl from Utrecht, and in 2012 I came to Clermont-Ferrand for an internship. Here I met my boyfriend, and after obtaining my Master degree I moved back to France. I've found a PhD offer in Bordeaux so now my boyfriend and I live here since the beginning of 2014.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We hosted some people in Clermont-Ferrand and I surfed a couple of times. I think it's a great way to get to know a new city and new people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I moved to Clermont-Ferrand for my master thesis I didn't have a place to stay on my own. Via Couchsurfing I met a Dutch girl, who proposed to stay at her place until I found something new. I stayed there for two weeks, and had the chance to meet her roommate, who is my boyfriend now and we recently moved in together :). Nice couchsurfing experience I would say.

兴趣

Drinking coffee, beers, wine or porto with friends, playing volleyball and tennis, going to concerts and festivals, reading, wasting time on the internet, learning random things about history and places, travelling, trying to improve my life by learning about buddism and mindfulness, making pictures of anything, flee markets, pub quizzes (although my only specialty is music from 1997-2002 :P), learning French and cats.

Music I like: Beatles, Pink Floyd, Beach Boys, Rock & Roll, Wir Sind Helden, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Eels, The Doors, Metric, Miles Kane, some Dutch music (Boudewijn de Groot, Acda en de Munnik, Caro Emerald), Drum & Bass. I love going to festivals as well :)

Favorite series: Six Feet Under, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad.

I also love to read, but no favourites. Currently I'm reading Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance.

Because I never paid attention in high school, I miss a lot of knowledge on general history. Now I am interested, so I have some catching up to do.

Also, as I changed my life quite drastically this year, by moving and by personal development (sounds cliché, I know), I enjoy sharing experiences and perspectives with other people.
