I'm headed in the direction of my dreams, I am currently studying in Portland in order to apply for nursing programs. I'm hoping to one day be a travelling nurse, giving relief in disaster stricken areas, giving care and preventive health education in poor communities, and yeah generally just giving back in my lifetime. I have a passionate love affair with mother ocean and from an early age I could spend all day in the ocean. Now i'm a keen surfer, and trying my best to gain experience in sailing, as one day I hope to own my own live aboard sailboat. I love to travel more because it's when I feel most free and tapped into the powerful magic of the universe. You can really educate your mind and soul by turning your world upside down and opening yourself up to all the opportunities that come your way.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Here in Portland I'm hanging out with couchsurfers and hosts all the time. My housemate Don is the ambassador for the local portland chapter and so it's nice for me to be in the know about all the local meet ups. My desire is to get more involved with couchsurfing on the travelling basis. There's nothing better than meeting the locals in the community of which your travelling in..

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not too much experience surfing couches on this website for me, although I'm no stranger to throwing thumb to the wind when travelling and have met lots of friends on the open road. I always just didn't know how I could incorporate checking mail and travelling but now with this smart phone of mine, watch out!
My house in Portland has hosted a bit, and its always been a pleasure!

When I lived in Norway, I participated in and ended up winning a reindeer race, think of riding the back of a sled driven by a reindeer) at Jokkmokk market (a very old historical market for the native ppl of Scandinavia) it was pretty incredible and FUN!
