About Me

I told my grandma when I was 8 years old that I wanted to travel the world in a car and I think that freaked her out, now when I asked her about it she's just worried about grandchildren and if she'll ever see them.

I was in the boy scouts my favorite campsite was Catalina Island and I never quite made it to Eagle before I aged out.

I work completely remotely and I want to see this beautiful rock that we call earth. I enjoy photography but not the technical aspects of it mostly just the composition of landscapes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

People in my line of work have made it possible to go days without interacting with another human being. In our remote work environment I go days without taking to new people.

I am living in a van and traveling to push myself out of my comfort zone and really question the paradigm of remote work and retirement.

Campsites are overcrowded and sometimes overbooked in dense urban settings! I am looking to find people to "driveway-dock" and hang out with for a few nights!

I am completely self-contained and the van fits exactly in a normal parking spot...

Sleeping in a car on streets is illegal in most places, but the loophole is private driveways.

Interests

I really enjoy lively conversation and spirited debate.
Over the past decade, I have volunteered and organizations that have specialized in recidivism in youth, art therapy for kids, and environmental education.

I'm an information sponge and I enjoy learning about the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

The book that changed my life is "Tuesdays with Morrie".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To test for bias in job application software, a teammate and I created almost 800 fake resumes any recruiter could upload to their software to ensure there wasn't bias against gender, race, location, etc.
