Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm travelling to Europe Dec 2012/Jan 2013. Would dig to meet up with any other CSers while I'm there. Also planning a trip to the USA in May/June 2013. I unfortunately don't have an available couch at home but would love to meet up with any travellers passing through and show you around Joburg.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Limited experience, but have made some good friends through CS meetups. I'm actually going to the wedding of an American friend in 2013 that I meet via a meetup.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a big fan of the writings of Bill Bryson. I've also been known to neglect my family and friends while consumed with the works of Terry Pratchett and George R.R. Martin.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Singing Beethoven's Ninth Symphony with the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra in 2010. Watching my team score the opening goal of the World Cup in that same year. Standing atop the Drakensberg (Dragon Mountains) in South Africa and seeing the view go on for miles.
