Overview
About Me
I'm PhD-student in Eastern-European History and have been travelling a lot in recent years because of this. When I'm travelling to other countries I like to stay with locals in order to experience the country as it more or less really is, not the tourist way. :)
I was born in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, but back then a regional capital within the Soviet Union. At the end of the 1990ies my family emigrated to Germany, which is why I now call it my home. Right now I live in Freiburg, a relatively small but beautiful town close to the French and Swiss border.
Unfortunately, I recently moved to a new place with very little room, so I still need to figure out, if it is possible for me to host someone here.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because, as I stated above, I like to stay with locals when I travel. And I believe such things should be reciprocal.
