ABOUT ME

I am a Berlin-based historian- globetrotter- adventurer working on transfer and comparative history between Early Modern Europe and Early Modern China. I am interested in the influence of Chinese printing techniques on the development of European printing (did Gutenberg really invent a new technology?) and to compare the social and cultural consequences of printing in both Early Modern China and Early Modern Europe.
Apart from pushing the limits of human knowledge, I am a passionate traveller and art lover. My friends describe me as a hedonist with strong Protestant work ethics;-) as well as charming, smart and fun to be with....
