About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Exploring the human experience and making the world a little better, one friend at a time.

ABOUT ME

I am an open minded adventurer and I enjoy a good laugh...a pretty spontaneous person who enjoys a non typical lifestyle.

PHILOSOPHY

I feel like we are all here for a reason.
And life is all about finding that reason.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I am new here. I donated to the site because I met some really cool German kids in Guatemala who recommended CS and I am wanting to check it out.

I don't know if I can host much in the near future, being away from home a lot...hopefully when things settle down for me I can host. Bellingham, where I live, is an awesome place and I would love to show people around!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had a done a fair amount of couchsurfing, nothing as formal as this though.

One time I met a couple of Czech guys at a bar in western Alaska. We had a beer, chatted for about an hour or so and exchanged emails. 6 months later I was in Europe and I said "what the heck, I should look up those Czech guys" well I did and they invited me to visit them in their little village (Jesenik) and ended up having a blast for a week. Hiking, Caving, going to the Disco's, drinking with their Grandparents and a road trip to Brno were some highlights. It also turns out that the Czechs were friends with one of my good friends from Alaska but we didn't figure that until almost the end of the visit. Small world! Anyway, Radovan and Marek are my buddies to this day.

Interests

Some of my hobbies are mixed martial arts, SCUBA, mountain biking, sailing, snowboarding and motorcycles. I also like to read history books and science fiction as well as playing boardgames like chess and go.

Okay this would be a big big list...more later, ok?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The aurora borealis (northern lights) in Alaska are truly spectacular!

I accidently lit myself on fire in a cave once too.
