Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am just starting out with this project and am very excited!!! I am looking forward to surfing now during my travels while in grad school, and then hosting when I have a place of my own.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I spent 4 months traveling to 45 universities across America with a friend of mine. We ran a "college tour" for the company we worked for called TOMS shoes (www.tomsshoes.com its a great company check it out!) putting on music, fashion, and art shows for the benefit of kids around the world. We never quite knew where we were going to sleep and only had to stay in a hotel one night. Students put us up in their dorm rooms, apartments, frat houses, parents houses, friends houses, cars, floors, anywhere and everywhere. It was the trip of a lifetime and really showed me the generosity of others and gave me the chance to learn, see and experience all kinds of people and places. This trip is where I learned about this website and I hope to have a similar experience surfing first and then hosting when i have a place of my own!
