I love some portuguese authors, such as Saramago or Eça de Queiroz. Anyway my favourite author is Milan Kundera, not only due to his overwhelming Unbearable Lightness of Being, but also the crudeness of the Ignorance or the sad irony of The Joke.
About movies, I can say some: Before Sunrise/Sunser, 21 Grams, Inception, Into the Wild, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close (though no one seems to agree).
