Heyy! I am Diogo, 26 years old and I come from a very small village in the north of Portugal.

I pushed myself out of my little bubble when I was 20 years old to do an Erasmus in Croatia, and since then I changed completely my view on travelling and exploring the world. For the past 6 years I have been traveling a lot, I moved abroad to work and I've been very interested in meeting people from all over the world.

I love to just sit by the sunset and have a great chat or simply sit and contemplate the small pleasures of life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am planning a motorcycle🏍️ roadtrip from Porto to Prague starting on the 9 of July and aiming to arrive around 15 of July.

I thought of this trip as the perfect opportunity to really get myself out there into the unknown and get the most of each place. So for that I thought what better way than to meet incredible people on the way and share our stories with each other, instead of staying in empty Airbnbs.

Hopefully we can build amazing friendships and travel to each others countries with free accommodation in the future!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On of the most amazing things I've done was going on a boat tour of 5 days in Indonesia with 50 strangers. During this trip, we didn't have signal on the phone because the boat was sailing in the deep sea, and it gave us the chance to connect with each other and appreciate little things like having a meal in a circle or watching the stars before sleep in a way that is not common nowadays! We also had a bonfire party in an abandoned island which was for sure the craziest party I've had until today. In this experience I also had the chance to play ukulele for everyone and put the whole boat singing along famous songs, what a week it was!

It's impressive how interesting and enriching can be a group of people from all over the world without any technology in the way!

I am not an experienced teacher but I can definitely share with you what I know and mostly importantly my passion in salsa dancing🕺 and playing guitar🎸.
