About Me

CURRENT MISSION

find an interesting style of life that i feel happy with

ABOUT ME

Well as i write this i'm back in Wyoming about to head out to California for a couple of weeks before moving to Copenhagen, Denmark. hence, i do not have a couch at this current time, nor do i have a home seeing as i left it in Oregon.

i plan to be moving a lot in the next few years...

at any rate, a bit about me is deserved i suppose. i grew up in a sunny little city called Perth in Western Australia, a place of beautiful beaches and fun loving sort of people. but of course when a bug starts to itch you have to scratch it, and i set out on my merry way into the rest of the world. i moved to Laramie Wyoming to get myself a university education and started a double major in English and Philosophy, subjects i find to be quite fun and enthralling to study... but as it was growing up in a city in Australia wasn't really conclusive to a small town in the mountains to which i moved to Portland, Oregon. a dashing little city itself, Portland was the last two years of my life, and despite enjoying those years i find myself aching to see what the European life style is like.

PHILOSOPHY

i've difficulty finding a philosophy that doesn't change consistently when i grow older. right now i just want to learn, and i think the best way of doing that is to continually put yourself into new situations. living a life that doesn't stick to a schedule, don't work the 9-5, don't settle for simplicity, don't get caught in a rut, find adventure, find love, find life, find a sunset over a cliff face with two dark birds passing by...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i got an account with couch surfing a couple of years ago but never ended up using it until now and am really excited to get a real start this time. i hope it works out for me to meet some amazing people around the world who have new and interesting philosophies and stories that give a new perspective on life. here is to you human society!

Interests

i guess all people have really a vast array of interests within their mind set, and with that i kind of do to. however there isn't too much to be said. i was an english major and reading is a real passion of mine, i enjoy talking about classics with people. i, like most people, especially in my age group, love music and play a little guitar--but that isn't something i'm an expert at. but i think i especially love meeting new people and having conversations, especially over a couple of pints of beer. i'll be the guy at a live show thinking about how i want to find a place in the corner to just converse with somebody.

Music, Movies, and Books

my taste has these days turned to the likes of Sigur Ros, Explosions in the sky and Radiohead. but there is plenty of other music i like too.

my favorite book is "The Book of Flying," i think of myself as someone who reads a decent amount and there are more things i love too.
