I am currently a medical doctor who has been working for a year. I am planning to take medical specialty in anesthesiology, particularly about pain medicine. I used to travel a lot during medical school, mostly for medical conferences or other educational purpose. I used to live in Netherlands for 3 months and during that time I managed to do travelling across Europe.

Travelling abroad always and will always excite me. It is always nice to see different things or embracing different culture. I am always fascinated by different culture that our society have. In the nowadays world where xenophobia and all kind of radicalism grow, I choose to be amazed by how diverse we are.

Lastly, I am a foodie at heart as well as an amateur cook. The first thing I look at in a new city or country is the food. I believe the complexity of the food we eat today is the manifestation of how far our mind has advanced. I am always down for a street food visit. So if you are new to my hometown in Semarang, hit me up and I'll give you a food tour around my city.

In the moment there is no room for me to host a guest, but I'm in the process of getting a house. So hopefully soon I will be able to accepting guests

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I want to taste and experience the life as a local. Whenever I travel, other than food, I always look for the culture of the local, how they live, what they do, etc. I would also like to make friends and connection whenever I visit a city. Getting to know someone new and listen to their stories is one of the things that I like. Lastly, I'm an extroverted person who enjoy myself a lot around people's company. I am always up for a new thing and always open to anything.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I have lived in a secluded island in Indonesia for a month and do unpaid work there as a doctor. The island was without any doctor at that time. I made myself available 24/7 for the patients. And I managed to save some lives despite all of the limitations.
Electricity was only available for 12 hours. Access to big island was limited to 1 ferry per day. However I was blessed because I was surrounded by daily fresh seafood :-)
