About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet interesting people and support their exploration in traveling the U.S. while I am otherwise occupied with a 40hr work week(for now) and cannot get that same vibe in

ABOUT ME

I was raised as the oldest child and went to catholic school. it gives me a let's take care of business and be kind and polite vibe. mix that with a 30's something version of breakfast club angst and maybe you have me. i grew up in a desert metropolis, and appreciate the beauty of its starkness but disliked needing a car/traffic and the anonymous nature of living with millions. I have been enjoying living in Eugene since 2008. I bike where I need to go and work to create relationships with all ages and types of people. I can be rather shy and enjoy working in background or supportive roles. I identify as being an introvert. I probably watch too much TV and try to temper it with hikes, improving upon my drawing skills, volunteering, petsitting and enjoying times with friends. I traveled some, though not nearly enough and hope to soon make a break for a non north american travel destination.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I left home when I was 16 and basically survived as a couch surfer until I was able to start signing my own leases at 18. Since then, I have had mostly just surfed with friends either me hosting or them hosting.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I became a certified as an open water scuba diver earlier this year. Nothing ever has matched the feeling of being 30 feet under water.
