About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To experience things, I never thought I would

ABOUT ME

I’m working as a tour leader traveling around with young Danish people for months at a time. We travel to lots of different countries - so far I’ve been taking groups to Vietnam, Cambodia, China, New Zealand, Australia and Fiji. That also means that I’m not home for around 8-10 months out of the year. However, when I am home, I’m happy to host!

I absolutely love sports, including football (Go Packers!), which I played in Salt Lake City, and handball (or Team handball, as you would say in the US) which I play and coach.

I love to listen to music and going to concerts. I also love to dance - latin, line dance, step, and whatever else where I get to laugh and have fun.

When I was getting into the CouchSurfing community back in 2010, I was introduced to the wonders of the nature. I lived in Salt Lake City for a year and the friendly CS community made sure that I didn't miss out on hiking, climbing, and skiing the beautiful mountains of Utah. Since then, I absolutely love going on adventures in the great outdoors.

I'm a person who likes to try everything at least once!

PHILOSOPHY

If you reject the food, ignore the customs, fear the religion and avoid the people, you might better stay home.

I travel a lot; I hate having my life disrupted by routine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I moved to Salt Lake City in August 2010 I didn't know anybody. I went to their monthly meeting called Stammtisch and suddenly I had made a lot of friends. I truly believe that you have to stay in a place for a little longer and mingle with locals to understand the place where you are. CS really gives you the experience of living like a local, which I love.

Interests

Handball, American football, actually most sports, music, singing, dancing, travelling, learning about other cultures, learning new languages, being outdoorsy and trying new things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Played on a semi-professional Women's football team while I lived in the Salt Lake City. It really is one of the most amazing things that I have experienced. To experience the commitment and passion from so many people is amazing. I always thought that I knew what team spirit was, but I definitely didn't....

Teach, Learn, Share

I love teaching and learning languages. I studied Spanish in High School and would love to become fluent one day. I'm also happy to teach you to say a thing or two in Danish. I've been told that it is one of the languages with the toughest pronunciation. Are you up for the challenge? I'm also a pretty good cook, so I would be happy to make you a traditional Danish meal.

In 2010-2011 I have taught a lot of American people how to play handball and I am never shy of teaching you a thing or two about that sport. I played my entire life and LOVE handball.

Hmm, what do I wanna learn? Well, EVERYTHING! I'm trying to teach myself to play guitar and piano, however, I would appreciate a helping hand.
