About Me
Hey
This is Diyar — born and raised in Baghdad. I have always lived in Baghdad and witnessed most of its happy and tragic events.
My superpower is that I have survived and hopefully I always will. This world is worth living.
Things am proud of💡
Created Iraqi Travelers Cafe project with my friends, biggest travel community in 🇮🇶
Gave TedX speech on cross-cultural communication role in peace building— it was incredible experience to speak front of +400 persons ✅
Worked abroad - in 🇺🇸 - with Peace corps and Rotary ✅
Helped connecting many people together (my passion)✅
I enjoy talking about culture differences and people ❤️— yes I love history but I appreciate humans more. 🌏
This is my IG @diyartalal
( do not have high expectations)
I am sarcastic, meme-addicted, part time ADHD, and a 3rd culture person.
Sometimes I can host people— but I am better at grabbing cup of coffee somewhere and walk! 🌏
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love the community of people helping people that couchsurfing brings together. For me, There is no better way to visit a new area than by getting in touch with the locals.
