About Me
Hey there! I’m Diyar, a Kurdish guy originally from Iran.
In 2014, I left my home country and began a long journey that shaped who I am today. I lived in Iraq for a year, then spent nearly six years in Turkey, where I finished high school and started nursing school. In 2020, I moved to Canada and have been living in Lacombe, Alberta, ever since.
I just graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree and now I’m preparing for the next chapter: dental school in California!
Beyond academics, I’m passionate about meaningful conversations, exploring new cultures, and sharing stories over coffee or a walk. Music and art are big parts of my life too — they’ve helped me stay grounded through every twist and turn.
I love meeting kind, open-hearted people and believe we all have something to learn from one another. If you’re hosting me, I promise to bring a warm spirit, good company, and a lot of gratitude.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like songs with meaningful lyrics! About movies, I am pretty picky; I like movies with good endings. Something that bothers me is that I started to read a bit late! But reading is a part of me today and I like romance and books based on science and psychology.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Learning new languahes! I speak four languages fluently, and able to understand another four languages, but am not confident enough to speak them .
Teach, Learn, Share
I am not the best at teaching! But I love to learn and share knowledge and culture.
