Living Off the Wall! No longer standing and observing, it's about becoming involved and experiencing life. As MJ said, "Gonna put that 9 to 5 up on the shelf, and just enjoy ourselves!"

ABOUT ME

We are two special education teachers from the United States. We spent time building careers and one day we decided it was time to break out and create more adventure in our lives. We sold everything and took off for Europe! We are working toward 'location independence' and plan to spend a lot of time traveling. We are active people who like good people and laughter in our lives!

PHILOSOPHY

Living off the wall, enjoying ourselves. As teachers, we enjoy giving back to others and the community. We feel it is important to give as much as we can.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have donated and plan to consistently donate to this great service. We look forward to hosting and meeting people, and we are anxious to make connections; building relationships with people from all over the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have informally hosted friends of friends and enjoyed being able to provide a safe place. It was great to see them enjoy the city without having to worry! We look forward to trying it out ourselves in our travels.

Interests

Triathlon, volunteering, good conversation, photography, sailing, the list goes on! We are pretty much interested in trying anything new!

Music, Movies, and Books

We deviate on this subject. Brian prefers non-fiction and historical based literature while Dena prefers classic literature and novels. Some of our favorites are A Clockwork Orange, 1492, Wuthering Heights, Life of Pi, Demon Haunted World, Science as a Candle in the Dark, Heart of Darkness.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Besides leaving it all and moving to another country, we have both completed 2 Ironman races and have signed up for race number 3. Ironman is a one-day endurance race where participants swim 2.4 miles, cycle 112 miles, and run 26.2 miles.

Teach, Learn, Share

We can share unique places to take photographs, if you are interested in photography. We are also long-time vegetarians and can share recipes and ideas for this type of lifestyle, even on the road.
