Overview
About Me
I'm a marriage and family therapist and DJ/music producer, living in Los Angeles (Silver Lake). I'm partnered, love being a guncle, and enjoy traveling a lot.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to travel, and staying with locals has always been the best way to discover a city! I also often need a place to stay when visiting family, as they have cats, and I'm allergic.
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've stayed with great hosts in Chicago and St. Louis, and also hosted an awesome Belgian guest. I like to meet all types of new people, particularly other friendly gay men/queer folk.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
It's been great. David, my host in Chicago, was fantastic. Tom, a great life coach from Brussels, had a fab time when he stayed on my fold-down couch in my previous Brooklyn apartment. I had dinner with both guys and really enjoyed their company!
I found a lasting friend in my host Elise in St. Louis. I keep in touch with her and her friends, who are now all back in Europe.
Interests
Great food, art, music, shops, traveling, time with friends and family. Seeing people let go and dance when I DJ. Reading and writing. Beautiful old buildings. Discovering new art, music and things about people. Asking why. Passionate discussions. Cuddling. Feeling a breeze and the sun on my face.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Went back to school to complete my BA and MS degrees, after a twenty-year break in schooling. Enjoyed the journey so much, and the destination (my being a therapist), is pretty awesome, too. :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm great at listening, helping people find solutions or even just to have an ear. Serious conversations don't scare me off...in fact, I find them rather inspiring as people show their true selves when they are vulnerable. I also can give lessons on DJ'ing, and have been told I'm a good cook and baker. :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good club, restaurant and coffee recommendations, a friendly ear, and sometimes an air mattress on my floor
