About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Find a piece of land in the sun

ABOUT ME

Chocolate eater (yum yum, Belgian chocolate!). I like plants and bees, honey and spices, all these nice flavours given by our Mother Earth.

I like moving and being surprised. I love life close to the nature, feeling alive facing the wilderness, feeling the sensuality of the Nature.

I like taking care of plants and growing what I need to feel good and to cook great stuff.

Music takes a great part in my life.

PHILOSOPHY

Don’t loose your time in front of a TV (actually I would say the same for the computer).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Since I suscribe to CS, I haven't yet had the means to host. I'll do it when it'll be possible. By now, I welcome people for a coffee, to give some information about the place where I live, to go to walk, bars...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My ex-housemate used to host couchsurfers and to be ambassador in Brussels. I found it was a good system for travellers to meet locals and to know local alternative info and culture.
Now CS gives me a chance to meet and help nice people!
My first CS experience was in Madeira Island. It was great to welcome and meet people.

Interests

Mother Nature, wide-open spaces. Good organic food, cooking, spices. A permaculture way of life close to the nature. Taking care of plants, growing fruits and vegetables...
Outdoor activities.
Good music, mixing, sport, languages, hiking, capoeira, didgeridoo, drums...

Music, Movies, and Books

Music lover. This is my passion. Music is an unending source of inspiration. I'm a DJ amateur. I like alternative and world musics as well as being surprised by new stuff. I enjoy mixing in private parties where people like to shake their body. If you have a mix table in your living room, let me know ;-).

I like soul, funk, reggae, dub, afrobeat, trip hop, ragga, surf, acid jazz, down tempo, drum'n'bass, old skool style hip hop, ambient, electronic music, didjeridoo, bossa nova, capoeira, samba etc etc... I'm not very interested in mainstream musics.
Some artists I like: Bonobo, Quantic & Quantic Soul Orchestra, MFSB, James Brown, Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings, Chemical Brothers, Ray and his Court, Sergio Mendez, Ojos de Brujo, Macaco, Bjork, Tricky, Xavier Rudd, Desert Blues, Boubacar Traore, Fela Kuti, Nina Simone, Lynn Colins, Alpha, FSOL, Aphex Twin, Air...

Movies: Black cat white cat, Lucia y el sexo, Snatch, Lock stock and two smoking barrels, Fight Club, The Big Lebowsky, The Constant Gardener, Ghost in the shell, Vengo, Eat drink man woman, Cidade de Deus, Le péril jeune, Groundhog Day, Casino, Heat, La Haine, Leon...
The life of artists: The Doors, La Môme, Ray Charles, Dream Girls...

I like too comics books. Belgium has a great diversity of comic books of many styles and even more for grow-ups than for kids. There is more to read about than Lucky Luke or Tintin ;-).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swiming with a sea turtle, fish and sharks in a little colourful island coral reef lost in the Malaysian sea.

Living in tribes and other villages in Asia and Amazonia.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to cook, experiment and share the kitchen with other cooking lovers.
I like to meet people who watch the world on a different angle, who think that they are interesting alternatives to live compare to the blind-consumption of our little planet.
Music exchange is always in my mind.
If you need any tip to make your garden greener or to grow vegetables, let me know.
