ABOUT ME

I am a fairly active person who enjoys being outside, playing with my dogs, hanging out with friends, running with the Hash House Harriers, mountain biking and hiking. I've lived in Arizona since 1997 and enjoy this area very much.

I have two dogs and sometimes a foster dog. My dogs are Rotties and are both nice, but my female is rather timid around men at first so it's easier to host female travelers. I would rather not have to keep her locked up during a person's stay, thank you for your understanding.

PHILOSOPHY

Be excellent to one another. Respond to couch surfing requests even if it is to say that you cannot host.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Offering space in my home for a traveler to stay, provide assistance if possible/necessary and to make new friends.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Milton Miller was my official first couchsurfer. Great guy and it was great to help him on his journey. Recently I hosted a Mother and son during their stay here for a marathon and family visit.

During my 2014 4,500+ mile motorcycle ride I put out requests and didn't receive a single response except one person in Monterey, but it turns out I didn't need a place there anyway. Unsure how to proceed with Couchsurfing at this point. I try to respond to people who request to stay at my home and when I get nothing it doesn't make me confident in this community.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Like to watch at home and avoid those who talk and text during movies, plus I get to hang out with my dogs at home! Love almost all types of music. Love to read - primarily sci-fi to escape this reality for a while.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

ONE amazing thing? Having a life where I have been able to travel easily to see as much as I have, and to meet so many wonderful people is the one amazing thing because there are so many who cannot, or will not open themselves to new experiences.
