ABOUT ME

I live on the road, and I've been travelling since 2006. This is possible for me as I work freelance over the internet doing research, writing, and a variety of other things. As of writing this I am living in Bogotá Colombia, and I've been slowly making my way south through Latin America over the past couple of years. My Spanish is getting fairly decent at this point, enough to have full conversations, if I have to ask people to repeat themselves fairly often.

Interests

Well, aside from travelling in general, I like walking and hiking, biking, scuba diving. I play guitar and am really into music, a lot of European folk stuff, electronic jazz music, a bit of everything. When I have a kitchen I like cooking, and having been working on my Asian cooking a lot lately.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

What have I enjoyed recently? Sailing in the San Blas islands of Panama was really amazing. I hiked up a mountain near Mérida, Venezuela, and a little white dog met me on the trail and followed me up. I saw Bolivian President Evo Morales on the street in Bogotá, that was pretty cool too.
