About Me

to wander

I travel for a Live and live to Travel. I'm not rich, don't get me wrong :) I'm just very organized with my money, that sometimes I have, sometimes I don't. It's my path. It's what the Universe/God has put me to. The more I travel, the more I discover that this is my calling. No impossible, no can't. Just do.
I embrace and learn about the cultures, environment, attitude, mentality, fear and wisdom of people. I expose myself to fear, danger, arrogance, impulses, drugs, conflicts and embrace them as a teacher - what they are.
My path might not be clean, but I'm trying to walk it purely.
Ultimately: I'm content. It's not the same as being happy. I'm consciously happy, but thoroughly content.

I'm in a constant need of adrenaline. None of my days pass without at least one smile. Language maniac, musician and philosopher, and adore traveling. Please note: i am a very direct person. I'm often very forward with things, so you have to expect complete honesty from my part.
Please check the couch info for more details about how my traveling style.
I do NOT do much on a SUNDAY! I'd rather spend the day inside, chill, get connected, meditate, talk to you, please consider this if you host me for the week-end!

Push your limits.

From Exupery’s Little Prince (one of the best books every written) – “He who would travel happily must travel light.” Travel light. Light in weight, body, spirit and mind. Leave all that holds you back behind. Don’t look back. Forge the future, walk on the path to enlightenment and just relax. Everything will be alright as long as you learn to be easy. Be at ease with people, in conversations, in difficult situations. Be easy in your head when having to make a decision. Follow your instinct and listen to the voices within. They will guide. It’s the traveler inside you speaking to you. Embrace it’s wisdom. Travel light in spirit. Respect other religions, cultures, learn from them, shape yourself to the image of perfection, make it reality. Love others as you love yourself, always help, be there, listen. Listening can be the best teacher together with the past. Light = ease = freedom.

If you look like your passport photo, you’re too ill to travel – Listen, come on, do you really look like your photo in your passport? (unless it’s brand new) Get a life! Grow your hair, put some beard on, change the color, hairstyle, go crazy! You have to have chaos within to create something magnificent. Don’t be so serious, dull as you’re standing for an official photo session for some documents. Smile, laugh, enjoy every moment! Get inspired and be inspired. Float with the Universe, take the energy and spread it! Just be more yourself. Have others live in you, multiple reflections of millions of personalities that form together an aura of iniquity. Be you. Life is to short to be anyone else!

Too often I hear travelers boast of the km’s they have covered in a day rather than about the things they’ve seen. With one eye set on the target there’s only one left to guide you on your journey. There’s only one eye left to stare at the beauty of nature, to be present. Live in the now. Enjoy every moment. Every scent. Every meter of it, regardless that it’s the first steps to the bus stop, last step before going to bed, first cigarette, last drink, last intercourse, first touch. Talk low, talk slow and don’t say too much. BE PRESENT. ALWAYS, We live in the now!
Real travel is when you take to the open road and you accept everything that comes your way: be it thrilling, joyful, difficult, deppressing.

Life is like this: we desire certainty but we're traveling with uncertainty.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A journey is best measured in friends, rather then miles.

If you’re not living on the edge, you’re taking up too much space

When you’re traveling, you are what you are right there and then. People don’t have your past to hold against you. No yesterdays on the road.

I try to keep it simple. But some people think it is more then that. I've hosted +200, organized CS/BW Wintercamp, 1 week for Xmass in my house, Summer Camp and many others. I've surfed +200 and still doing it.The secret?! I keep it simple. You and me, we are best friends, we just don't know it yet!
Some of my thoughts were published here:

Stories that one has, hiking in the wild without maps, trips with no plans.
Philosophy - rational: B. Spinoza; nihilism: F. Nietzsche, S. Kierkegaard.
Arguing without meaning, just for fun and to sharpen the mind.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveling is a brutality. It forces you to trust strangers and to lose sight of all that familiar comfort of home and friends. You are constantly off balance. Nothing is yours except the essential things - air, dreams, sleep, the sea, the sky - all things tending towards the eternal or what we imagine of it.

Hitchhiked in 1 year from the cold winter of Lapland (saw the Aurora Borealis) to Western Sahara (to the cemetery of ships). (January 2013 - September 2013)
Shared trips for months with amazing people, helping each other in our growth. (in progress still)
Worked as a volunteer teacher in remote villages in Malawi, Africa.(2009)
Never visited London. (never)
My leg got thorn apart by a bunch of Sheppard-dogs in the High Mountains of Romania, lost half of my calf muscle, walked down, got to Hospital and been told never to walk again - I'm walking and it doesn't even hurt. (July, 2012)
Connected with my Subconscious and got some pretty life-changing answers. (May, 2013)
Seen the lay-in of Ariel Sharon. (January, 2014)
Visited Jordan without going to ANY of the touristic places and still had a blast!
Spent overnight with a bunch of truck-drivers in a petrol-station and cooked for them Indian food (December, 2013)
Spent 3 weeks in Ireland watching nearly non-stop Television.
Sao Paolo, Brazil - Santa Marta, Colombia ; hitchhiking 10.000km 23 days.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: how to set a proper fire, cook with minimal resources, scouts knots, play the accordeon.Learn: cultures, traditions, secrets of the ancestors.Share: survive tips, hitch-hiking tips, travel experience, the meaning of my life in exchange for yours

The thing I fear most in life is also the motivator to whatever I do. I follow my heart, my spirit. I am and I belong where my heart is!

Most people reflect back on their lifes when they retire (if not earlier) and regret all the things they didn’t do for various reasons. The things they didn’t DO when they had the time/energy/money/courage/determination to DO it. I don’t wish this for anyone, ever! Do the things that make you happy. Find the purpose of your life and invest in it! The biggest investment you can make for the future is to enjoy the present. Find what you love to do and direct all your energy in doing it. Be nice. Smile. Enjoy! Annnndddd for fuck’s sake: TRAVEL LIGHT!

And remember, always remember when you set out for a new country: When you travel remember that a foreign country is not design to make you comfortable. It’s design to make its own people comfortable.

As all great travelers I’ve seen more then I can remember and I remember more then I’ve seen! But that’s just fine!

Lay back and prepare for an adventure of a lifetime! Mine, yours: A LIFE! One! Only one! We don’t choose it, but we sure as well have to rock the living hell out of it!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Kenya, Malawi, Moldova, Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, United Kingdom
