About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Abogado/Avocat/Avocado

ABOUT ME

I'm a very laid back person that enjoys going out for food, drinks, and music. I've spent a lot of time traveling and love swapping stories.

I'm currently in the process of moving to San Jose, Costa Rica. I'll be there for about a year doing green energy project development throughout Latin American and Africa and am pumped to spend some more time stumbling through Central America.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have had nothing short of incredible experiences with every person I've had the fortune of staying with while traveling - everyone has been so open and fantastic. The people I've stayed with have profoundly changed my trips and experiences and I'm very grateful for the opportunity.

That, of course, has led me to open up my place. I love DC and am happy to spend time showing people around.

Music, Movies, and Books

For music:

R&B/Soul: especially from Stax-Volt, as well as Curtis Mayfield, Stevie Wonder, O.V. Wright, James Brown, Marvin Gaye. Jazz: Art Blakey, McCoy Tyner, Omar Sosa, Esperanza Spalding. Reggae: Lee Perry, Culture, Israel Vibration, Burning Spear, Ernest Ranglin (close enough). Other random things like Dr. John, Fela Kuti, Professor Longhair, Monty Alexander, Bruce Springsteen, Mofro, Prince, R.L. Burnside. Probably above all at the moment: the Mountain Goats.

Books: Breakfast of Champions, The Fan Man, Vernon God Little. Law school has killed pleasure reading for the time being, unfortunately.

Movies: Brazil, The Blues Brothers, The Big Lebowski, Repo Man, High Fidelity, about 300 others. I'll have to keep thinking about it.
