COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed in Japan with some of the most fantastic and interesting people I've ever met.

Interests

Photography, painting, reading, running, biking, manga, sports in general, adventure, meeting new people. I have wanted to go skydiving for a while, and just recently went scuba diving (which I'd love to do again!).

Music, Movies, and Books

Books by Orson Scott Card, Ben Bova, Robert Jordan,Peter E. Hamilton, Sci-fi in general, fantasy at times, alternate histories are nice. I won't deny, as well, that I enjoy mangas...many mangas as it were.
As for music, almost anything is good, just no country or jazz or blues. I like the sound of Alexisonfire, Linkin Park, Lupe Fiasco, The Beattles, AC/DC, Rattatat, Les Cowboys Fringants, as well as various french artists such as Sniper, Sinic, Vitaa, etc.
Oh the movies I've seen...There are many good ones, many bad ones, I'll see just about anything. I am particularly fond of apocaliptic themes in movies (Armageddon, The Day the Earth Stood Still, The Sum of All Fears), as well as comedies and supernatural things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Caught a sleeping fish in my hands during a night dive...my first ever dive after my course!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have been doing photography for about three years now, self-taught and I love trying new things. I'm particularly interested in portraiture photography. I speak and write English and French fluidly. I've been painting for quite a few years (although I won't profess to be anything special) in acrylics, oils and watercolours. I'm trying to learn basic Japanese.
I'm more than willing to share any of my experiences and/or knowledge with anyone, but also would very much like to learn new things as well.
