ABOUT ME

A 24 year old risk taker who loves to travel alone. Why? Well how else can I meet new, interesting, fun and exciting people - whatever the race, creed, background may be. To me everyone's story is worth sharing. I love to write, read and no matter where I am dance stupidly like no one is watching, sing horrifically like no one is listening and laugh ridiculously all day long with anyone and everyone.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

11 Feb 2010 - the day I learned about this site. My colleague spent a good hour describing in colourful detail the wonders of CS... seven hours later here I am signing up!

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Biographies, memoirs of those who made a difference in this world. Will start Nelson Mandela: Conversations with Myself very soon. Favourite fiction: Khaled Housseini's The Kite Runner. His second novel 'A Thousand Splendid Suns' comes a very close second.

Film, TV and Music: Too varied to list but all time favourites include Slumdog Millionaire, Invictus, Pursuit of Happyness, Prison Break, 24, Bones, Infernal Affairs, any artist from the Motown era, Backstreet Boys, Timbaland, Jack Johnson, Johnny Cash, Michael Jackson and so forth...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent three months in South Africa volunteering for a childrens burns charity in Johannesburg.
Sat on top of Table Mountain in Cape Town and visited Robben Island - a lifelong dream come true.

Both of the above are my best life experiences

Finally achieved another lifelone dream this month: visited the Grand Canyon and walked along Brooklyn Bridge at night. Amazing!
