About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

Well first I need to say I am a very lucky person to be living the life I have been living. I grew up in Vienna, Austria and moved to Vancouver, Canada by the time I was nineteen. After finishing my degree I returned to Europe, travelled and now work. I am a very curious person and as the result of being the son of a restaurant owner probably also very sociable.

I really enjoy studying literature and philosophy and value the random visit to the theatre or art gallery. I am also very active, have played team sports all my life and attempt to spend as much time in nature as I can. And of course my life would not be the same without music.

PHILOSOPHY

Alas, after a certain age every man is responsible for his face. (Camus)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to use Couchsurfing as a tool to learn more about people and cultures around the world which means hosting and surfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed twice so far and really enjoyed my experience. I also hosted once.

Interests

Well besides books, good movies and the traditional stuff I would have to say I am also addicted to playing soccer, pick-up basketball and ... fantasy football. I also recently started being really into dogs so I am not scared anymore of settling down when I am old.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rememberable travel moments: a private tour through the rain forest by a native Costa Rican, walking in the streets of Paris, seeing the historically Brandenburger Tor and a night with ten Italians in an Italian restaurant.

Teach, Learn, Share

I studied everything that includes the act of communication and philosophy and enjoy talking about it. I love learning about cultural rituals and people's traditions in other places. I can teach you how to make great Schnitzel.

Countries I’ve Visited
