ABOUT ME

Music freak would best describe me :D

I've been working in the music business for a couple of years; currently doing trade marketing for a digital distributor. Basically, I make sure that when artists release new stuff, they get nice features on iTunes and music streaming services.

I also play bass and sing in a garage-punk band and I love being involved in the local music scene.

I'm passionnate about life in general, love discovering new stuff - some of it useful, some of it totally useless - and love learning about people I meet. Very outgoing, definitely a social butterfly and i love meeting with open minded people and have random conversations.

PHILOSOPHY

Going with the flow. Seriously, why stress about things you can't change, or worry about things that might not happen. Life's too short for that.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Sadly I don't have the space to host - but some of my friends do and it's always nice to show Montreal to new visitors.

And the best way to really know how locals live is by living with them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Almost inexistant. My best friend hosted a couple of couch surfers and from what I witnessed, it seems to be a great experience.

Couchsurfed once a couple years ago and looooved it. My host gave me so many cues on the city I was visiting that i would've missed otherwise.

兴趣

Music (playing, going out to shows, geeking out talking about it, discovering new bands), cooking (I have an obsession with pancakes and still trying to perfect my recipe), chilling in parks during summer time, playing Pétanque, biking with no destination, tv series marathons, reading random stuff on the internets or actual books. I'm curious and can find anything and everything interesting.

I listen to a lot of stuff. Rock, indie-rock, good pop (not talking about Top 40 here - wait, there's actually a couple songs i like...), Electro etc.

And Vinyls. Recently got a turntable. Resisted for many years knowing it's an addiction. It's already costing me a lot. Must haves, cheap greatest hits and recent favs.

Movies:
Depends of the mood I'm in but Dark humor always wins me. Anything Coen, Wes Anderson, good Heist movies, Tarantino, anything indie.

TV:
The Wire(Shiiiiieeet), Community, Twin Peaks, Flight of the Conchords, Arrested Developpement, Game of thrones, American Horror Story, Sons of Anarchy, Breaking bad, The Newsroom, Girls, Walking Dead, Thirty Rock, Parcs & Recs, HIMYM, anything really.

Books:
Sadly I think I spend too much time reading blogs and webcomics and not enough reading actual books. But I like Herman Hesse, Boris Vian, Madame Bovary, Stéphane Dompierre, Guillaume Vigneault, Love is a mixtape, Pinkerton (the graphic novel), Le Comte de Monte Cristo, currently getting into Hemingway and Vonnegut. Graphic novels and webcomics; current: Fables. Walking dead, Preacher. Questionable content, Least I Could Do, Popped Culture, Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal, Girls with slingshots.
