learn about sustainability, apply it to building and to daily life. find some good music. climb a few mountains.
Among other things, I'm a student, volunteer, active in a journalist organization, passionate hitch hiker, couch surfer, vegetarian.
I'm an open-minded and spontaneous person. I like Berlin and its diversity, but I like discovering new places, too.
Do just what your heart tells you to, as long this doesn't harm anyone, it is the right thing. See as much different ways of life as possible, try to understand other people, enjoy the richness and beauty of this world, contribute to peace, understanding and tolerance and have the courage to have your own opinion. Be creative! Don't forbid yourself to have dreams.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
After living in a CS-unfriendly share house for quite some time, I recently moved to my own flat will be able to host again from spring 2014.
I tell people about couchsurfing - usually they think it's a pretty cool thing.
Plenty of. I have guests quite often, though most of them I didn't meet trough Couchsurfing. Have been hosted by lots of good people (CS and non-CS) during my travels in Australia and back in Europe. Once in a while I attend CS meetings and activities.
I love nature and being outdoors. Camping, hiking, running, climbing, kayaking, canoeing, riding bicycles.
Good food (and therefore cooking), going to festivals, seeing gigs, discovering art.
Photography, Films, Journalism. Architecture.
Literature, spoken word, poetry slams, and stories told around a campfire.
- spoken word
- outdoor activities
- scuba diving
- rock climbing
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Into The Wild, The Motorcycle Diaries, Himmel über Berlin. Arthouse films, the classics. Anything to do with other countries, music and travelling.
Music: Lots of different genres. Jazz, Blues, Classical, Traditional, Folk, Reggae, Minimalism, Experimental. Living in Berlin I also get exposed to quite a lot of ele ctro which is fine, but generally I prefer acoustic, direct music. I sing in a big classical choir with more than 200 people.
Writers: Some I really enjoyed are Jack Kerouac (and the other Beats), Milan Kundera, Franz Kafka, Albert Camus, J.D. Salinger, and the typical classics such as Shakespeare, Büchner, Goethe, Tolstoy and many, many more
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There's so many amazing things to do and see. Seas and mountains, nature, music, dance, stories, poetry...
Hitchhiking about 20,000 km around Australia, sleeping under the stars or in strangers houses. Getting to the top of a few mountains. Scuba diving among tropical fish, turtles and sharks. Meeting friends. Music. Beautiful festivals, gatherings, events. Life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could share space at my house, vegetarian and vegan cooking, travel stories and give you an introduction to hitchhiking.
I'm interested in learning anything, especially food/ music/ handcraft skills.
