COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Somehow I have managed to couch surf a lot without going online (i.e. made friends on the street or through mutual friends) but I have also used couchsurfing.org in France and now in New Zealand. I haven't actually hosted people via the website, but wherever I live I always seem to have a few people crashing on my couch. What goes around comes around :-)

Summer solstice at Stonehenge in 2001 when they opened up to the public for the first time in 20+ years.

Being a Human Rights Activist in Cambodia.

Living and working in the Anarchist Freetown of Christiania.

Meeting all the world leaders at the infamous/dubious World Conference on Climate in Copenhagen 2009.

Solar Eclipse Festival in Australia 2012

Being a reporter for Tibetan Media in the Indian Himalayas.

Being an uncle to my brothers' and my best friends' children.

Attending the West African Islamic "Mecca" festival in Touba, Senegal.

Being a Tour-Guide in Sri Lanka, living in 5-star luxury (very rare treat for me :-)

Seeing the midnight sun at a hippie festival in the far north of Norway.

Growing up 5 years on the east coast of Greenland.

Jeez, I gotta stop at some point...

I have lived in, visited and researched a whole bunch of intentional communities around the world and I offer anyone my experiences from living communally. I can also edit any text you might need a second opinion on, I can build/fix your living space, teach you how to play the guitar and/or mandolin and I give a pretty good back-massage to get rid of those knots and tensions that we all seem to accumulate.
