ABOUT ME

HELLO EVERYBODY ! I'm Emilie, a 25 aged girl, sensible,curious,who enjoys the pleasure of life. I have travelled just in Spain for several times in Barcelona. Even I haven't travelled so much yet, I know a lot of people of other countries whose I have met and have invited during my studies (friends from Spain, Germany, Uruguay, Argentina, Mexico, China, United States, Djibouti, Italy, Gabon, Angola ...). I like to meet and speak with new persons, and to discover their way of life ; I'm open-minded, because no judgement is my principle.
I live in a little town near Rennes, a nice student city, where I have studied for 6 years in art.
I live in a nice little flat where I can couch eventually one or two persons.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm always thinking about the fact I see so many people in the street in only one day, whose I don't know... it's crazy !

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have discovered couchsurfing thanks to one of my housemates Anna, who is one of the members, too.
I've met Patrick(another couch member, an American student),when he was travelling in France last year. In fact, Anna has met him before during her travel in Ireland last year.Anna and me lived with Patrick for several months, in our home in Rennes (october-december 2006 and september-november 2007.

Interests

All interests me, I'm very curious I think. I like art and poetry, very kinds of music too. I like to see the sea landscapes, to sleep in the grass ; I like to live very simple, cause I think it's a very nice experience. I like the "human landscape" too, in the city, to meet new people. I enjoy to go in pubs with my friends : there's always a good mood inside it, with little concerts sometimes ; and I like to finish it walking, even dancing in the street, cause it's a free space, where we can meet other people very easily.

Music, Movies, and Books

There are so many ! It's difficult... Let's see, I like a lot of movies (as "Chat noir chat blanc", "Lost in translation", "Romanzo Criminale", "Requiem for a dream", "Pulp fiction", "Elephant", "In the mood for love") but also old movies as Chaplin's ones or Billy Wilder 's "Some like it hot" (in french : "Certains l'aiment chaud") with Marilyn Monroe...
For music I like various styles : electro (Chemical Brothers, Terra nova, Wax Tailor, Strup X, DJ Shadow, Gotan Project...), legends of the sixties (like The Doors, Pink Floyd, the first years of David Bowie,... )I love Johnny Cash,I like french singers or groups, too (as Mano Solo, Thomas Fersen, Noir Désir, Yann Tiersen, Les Mauvaises Langues,...)
Finally the books : I like above all poetry (Baudelaire, Rimbaud, Verlaine...)but also authors like George Orwell, Stephen Zweig, Ernest Hemingway, Primo Levi).

What I propose to share with me is first a sense of dreaming in the reality, to consider that life is a gift! At this time there're so many people in this world who try to survive, who suffer...
