About Me

CURRENT MISSION

If the world is my oyster, I guess I'll have to take up scuba-diving

ABOUT ME

I always find this question difficult...
Where to start ?

My general rule is: feel free to ask questions and who knows, maybe I'll answer :)

Apart from that, I guess I'm a kind of normal guy with a love for mountains, cooking and culture.

PHILOSOPHY

It doesn't matter what you do, as long as you do it with passion!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I happen to live in (according to my own bias) one of the most beautiful cities in Belgium, which happens to be a well-guarded secret on the travel maps...

..so if you ever happen to find yourself in my area and need a guide who knows both the best pubs as the history of the city, let me know!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None so far, although I have been known to end up on a couch of people whom I never met before though...

Interests

history, arts, culture, architecture, cooking, mountain trekking, adventure, sports, a good pub, ...

  • arts
  • culture
  • architecture
  • cooking
  • pub crawls
  • traveling
  • scuba diving
  • sports
  • cartography
  • history
  • tourism
  • mountains

Music, Movies, and Books

The shelves in my bookcase are curved by the weight...and the same goes for my dvd's and cd's... Only reggae sends me off screaming.

Oh, and I have a Lonely Planet addiction ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

the best trek was the High Atlas....now on to Cap 5: Anapurna

Teach, Learn, Share

The best cure for travel diarrhea:

take an apple, skin it
Slice it in small parts and leave them out a bit until they look brownish.

Relief!

(although watch with washing it of course ;)

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Morocco, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Belgium, Netherlands
