ABOUT ME

Despite not being a traveller since March last year I am still having trouble readjusting to the prosiac reality of a Monday to Friday 9-5 job and drown my sorrows by seeing as much live music as I can humanly manage.
In winter I play hockey both days of the weekend and am always looking for a cheer squad!
In summer I am a big fan of the Sunday Sipper at one of the many local beer gardens.
I'm a single gal, I live with my pussy cat and I loves forever being out and about... Truly I'm next to never home and I'm game for anything (within reason).
I am currently saving up for a trip back to Europe in Summer 2010 and plan on hitting Lisbon, Madrid, Barcelona, Corsica, Athens, Crete and Istanbul + Trying to include Bestival, Latitude and Sziget Festivals

PHILOSOPHY

The difference between the US and the UK is that americans think that life is serious but not hopeless, however the british think life is hopeless but not serious...

So I am all about finding moments of joy and levity in this world... the serious will find you without you going looking for it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had a run of bad luck insorfar as when I have wanted to surf with people they've been unable to host me but I have meet some fantastic and beautiful people that are so caring, warm and generous. People who take time out of their day to check that I was doing okay wherever I was in the world and that is more precious than gold!

Interests

I love music - part of why I loved being based in the UK is the amount of bands that I have been able to see. And while I don't like everything, I will listen to anything once
I also love TV and Film - all kinds - not that I am a total couch potato, but I do appreciate a good plonk on the lounge with a pile of junk food :)
I love sport playing and watching.
I play hockey regularly and am trying to form a netball team at the moment
And my other big interest is travel (obviously)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I have ever done is travel... I know this sounds stupid but the change in me since I started travelling has been phenomeonal. I am more open, more confident and more trusting.
