About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I don't take life too seriously... My mission is just to be happy, and I get that from my work, hanging out, eating, drinking, sometimes being crazy and sometimes being quiet, with my friends and family. The world and other people are amazing.

ABOUT ME

I'm a very easy-going and happy sort of person. I like talking and laughing with friends and family, and I don't take anything too seriously. I enjoy being quiet as much as going out and having fun. I don't watch much TV, I think it's generally a waste of time. I think it's better to sit in silence by yourself than to watch TV...

I came to Melbourne from Queensland a little over a year ago and I love it here! I've found myself in a cool and handy area and my niece has recently moved in nearby, which is cool because I've started growing veges in her garden (I don't have one but I love growing things).

I have travelled to places like Hong Kong, Japan, the UK, Ireland, and quick trips through the Czech Republic, Poland, and Germany. I love learning about how other people live, what matters to them, and sometimes a little of their languages.

PHILOSOPHY

To quote Max Erhmann, "With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Strive to be happy."

No matter how much injustice and inequality in the world, in these days of the internet and global communication, I really think we have a chance at changing all of that, person by person.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've had the pleasure of hosting a few really cool people from Spain and Germany. Looking forward to meeting more now that I have a spare room again!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Haved stayed with a great bunch of people in their share house in London.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like comedy writing and film, and love documentaries, but a mindless action movie is good for a hangover!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My friends got me a skydive for my birthday once. Terrifying. Exhilarating.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm pretty handy. I work on my own car, fix my own taps, install CD players in friends' cars, stuff like that. I also made my kitchen table out of an old door. Practical skills are what I like learning too.
