About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore and host this awesome new community

ABOUT ME

Hey guys! My name is Domingo, an Italian/Chilean born in Santiago, Chile but moved to the cold tundra of Madison, WI when I was 11 years old given my mother is American and grew up there. I was raised bi-lingual and to love other's languages, foods and cultures. Generosity, empathy and curiosity are the top three traits I look for in people, and the ones I try to exercise on a daily basis. I'm the Co-Founder and CEO of an event analytics startup in Chicago, IL. We have an amazing team of 6 who work hard and know how to have a good time.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in generosity, empathy and curiosity. I am Catholic but see religion more as community and family, and not a book with outdated metaphors.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm brand new! Looking for a place to stay in Austin,TX while at SXSW but look to host surfers in Chicago this summer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet, but have a lot of friends who are CS'ers and they love it!

Interests

Technology, travel, music and fitness are probably at the top of the list. I work part time for Lululemon so I love a good run, yoga session or row. I have big travel goals for the next 5 years including living in Europe, and visiting Africa and Asia.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love business books or books that challenge status quo. I'm a movie buff and tend to see a lot of them in theater. Old school Disney is my jam; ie Sword In The Stone.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Meeting Prince in the VIP of a NYC club. Zip lining for miles and into a lake in Brazil. Eating Guinea Pig in Peru days before trekking for 5 days to Machu Picchu.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love teaching people Spanish (Chilean), beatboxing and tips for searching for your true identity.

Brazil, Chile, Colombia, France, Peru, Portugal, United Kingdom, Venezuela
