About Me

Curb this wanderlust

Currently living in Denver, Colorado and working for a global consulting company. I am an outdoor and music enthusiast and moved to Colorado to fulfill my passion of being in the mountains and the limitless activities this brings, while seeing as much live music as possible in between. My greatest desire is to experience as much of the cultures, people, and geographies of this vast world, which has brought me all over South America, Central America, Mexico, and SE Asia. I am very outgoing and love a good laugh. I can drink with the best, but also love to chill and chat over some coffee or tea. Always looking to meet interesting people and have stimulating conversation.

Get out of your chair, man
Lets go everywhere. ~ MMW

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I use CS to connect with people I meet abroad, meet new people, and gather ideas for places I am going to go. I am traveling to Vancouver in July 2014 and hope to get involved again then.

I have crashed on numerous couches all across the US due to my travels to see music in different cities and visits to different universities to see sports or party. I have become good friends with most of these people and love the fact that I have places to stay all over the midwest and west coast of the US. I had great couchsurfing experiences in Mexico from locals showing me around their hometowns.

Outdoors, music, travel, food, drink. Snowboarding, hiking, biking, rock climbing, mountaineering, and scuba diving. Sports, mainly football and NCAA basketball. Interesting conversation. Trying new things. Meeting people from different cultures and backgrounds.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a diverse range of taste in music which is mainly compromised of jazz, funk, blues, jam, electro, and world music (usually with Latin or Middle Eastern influences). I lean towards books that are non-fictional, inspiring, and cultural, such as Shantaram. One of my favorite fiction books is Brave New World. My favorite movie of all time is City of God, which you should go watch immediately if you haven't yet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed Mt. Kinabalu in Borneo. A very rewarding experience that was well worth the tough two day climb to the top.
