Overview
About Me
I've been taking something of a delayed gap year (going on two years now) since I graduated in 2015. Through a fellowship, I'm currently living and teaching in Zhuhai, China. When I get the time, I try to explore this country and countries nearby.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
There's always something more special about living in a HOME when traveling. The people you'll meet, the food you'll eat, the knowledge you'll gain (and, of course, the comfort you'll feel) all go up a level.
Interests
I spent the second half of college zeroing in on my interests in art and education, which is part of the reason I am now teaching in Zhuhai. Now, I'm trying to decide if I want to unite the two (and if so, how), or if I want to further pursue art or video work.

Music, Movies, and Books
If it's animated I'll almost certainly watch it. If it's got cool production I'll most likely listen. If it's by Ayn Rand I'll most likely read it...I'll suffer through it, but I'll read it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
(Almost) Won a singing competition here in China.
Teach, Learn, Share
As a former high school gymnast, I can try to teach you some basics (want to do a back walkover?). As a wannabe musician, I'd love if you can teach me to play a few notes on something. As for sharing, I know food is usually a huge selling point. While I can't offer anything spectacular myself (other than a vegan power cookie), I'm a reliable sous-chef.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Let's paint, sing, or sculpt together. Let's shoot and edit a video. Or, if you're feeling classy, I give a mean manicure.
