I'm born and raised Singaporean. Being Chinese, I can speak fluent mandarin but cannot read and write the language (have not passed the subject in school before unfortunately).

I love meeting new people; I have gotten to learn a lot from others who grew up elsewhere. It has given me a lot of perspectives and has allowed me to live my life in a more sensible and grateful manner.

I'm currently studying for my bachelor's in Computer Science back home. From a young age, I was obsessed with sci-fi movies (space odyssey, star wars and ET) and technology, and it fueled my interest in the subject. I'm doing specializations in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Security, and I absolutely love it!

Being a broke uni student, I would certainly appreciate being offered a place to stay. To return the gesture of goodwill, I hope to make Chinese/Singaporean food for hosts. Contrary to popular belief, Singaporean noodles you find in Europe are not something we eat back home. I believe there's no better way to share one's culture than through food and I hope to share my recipes and food with others 👀

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Personally, what makes traveling so worthwhile isn't the attractions I'm seeing, but the relationships I was able to make along the way.

It's satisfying to be able to form a connection with people along my trips; while we may have our own differences, being able to put them aside and learn from one another is really magical to me.

Also, it's always interesting to find out what drives people and the human condition from a different perspective.

Interests

I'm a Red Velvet fan since their release of The Velvet album. For music, I mostly listen to anything that's popular nowadays.

I'm in a dragonboating team and I regularly go to the gym. In all honesty, I'm not too much of a sporty guy, I work out mostly to keep myself in shape.
