About Me
Hi everyone, I’m Dominik —
a business student from Konstanz in Southern Germany.
I’m an open‑minded, easygoing and curious person who loves meeting new people and discovering different cultures.
In my free time I’m into all kinds of sports — from beach volleyball and fitness to sailing, I enjoy almost anything that keeps me active. I also love capturing beautiful moments with my drone, whether I’m hiking in the mountains or skiing in winter.
A meaningful part of my life is my regular trips to Taizé in France. Every time I go there, I have unforgettable days with inspiring conversations, wonderful people and a peaceful spiritual atmosphere that gives me grounding in life.
I’m also very passionate about games and absolutely love game nights — cards, board games or something completely new, I’m always up for it.
I enjoy good conversations, cooking together, spontaneous adventures or simply a relaxed evening. As a guest I’m respectful, helpful and bring positive energy with me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I use Couchsurfing because I love cultural exchange and meeting people in a genuine, personal way rather than traveling anonymously. For me, the best part of traveling is connecting with others, sharing stories, and learning from different perspectives.
A wonderful example of how meaningful these connections can become is a friend of mine who met his now‑wife through Couchsurfing while he was studying in Germany and she was doing her exchange semester here. Today they live together in Taiwan — and their story always reminds me how powerful and beautiful this community can be.
Couchsurfing gives me the chance to meet inspiring people, build friendships across borders, and make travel feel more human and connected.
Interests
I’m curious about many things, and I love exploring the world in different ways.
I’m fascinated by history, because it helps me understand how cultures, ideas and people have shaped the world we live in today. I also enjoy spending time in nature — whether it’s hiking through forests, climbing mountains or simply enjoying a quiet moment outdoors.
I really value community — sharing moments, talking, laughing, cooking together or just being around people. And I’m a huge fan of games of all kinds.
I also love discovering different cultures, learning from people’s stories, traditions and ways of life. Traveling has shown me how enriching it is to connect with others and see the world through their eyes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
During my trip through Asia I discovered some truly beautiful places — for example the volcanic region around Mount Bromo in Indonesia, or the incredible underwater world near the island of Ko Lipe in Thailand.
I also love meeting people from all over the world. One of the most memorable experiences was when someone I met while traveling — from China — later came to visit me and my family in Germany. Moments like these remind me why I enjoy traveling so much: the connections, the stories, and the friendships that continue long after the trip is over.

What I Can Share with Hosts
I’m happy to share a lot of things with the people who host me.
First of all, I bring my experience, my stories from traveling and the many inspiring people I’ve met along the way. I’m also very passionate about games — card games, board games or anything new you want to teach me — so if you enjoy game nights, we’ll get along perfectly.
I love cooking simple but tasty meals and I’m always happy to prepare something together or for my host. I’m also not shy about helping around the house — whether it’s cleaning up, doing dishes or whatever needs to be done.
Most importantly, I share my time, my positive energy and my curiosity. I enjoy connecting with people, having good conversations, exploring the city together or just relaxing and enjoying a calm evening.
