About Me

I was born, raised and I have lived most of my life in Prague.
Until recently I was a student of political science. Since my graduation I feel a little odd not being one... Now I'm part-time journalist, part-time unemployed, part-time househusband, part-time tour guide in Prague.

I joke about everything. However, sometimes people don't get my humor, it's rather absurd, non-sense, pun based...
On the other hand I can be very serious, especially while discussing politics, any injustice that's going on in this world, mean, inconsiderate behavior or just while philosophizing about something interesting. :)

I love playing football (soccer) and drums (both not very well), anything humorous, languages, traveling, different types of music...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was recommended to join Couchsurfing when I was coming home from my semester abroad in Richmond, Virginia. I took a bus from Richmond to New York to catch my plane to Europe from there. I had about half a day on Manhattan before I had to go to the airport. However, I had a huge heavy suitcase and several smaller bags, I was tired and the only thing I was able to do was stumble to the edge of Central Park and get a nap on all my luggage. Afterwards someone told me: Why don't you join couchsurfing?

It probably wouldn't help me so much then in New York but I did join and I found out I love the idea. I've met some really nice people thanks to it.

I like my home city of Prague and it's nice if I as a local can help someone who is visiting and either provide them with some tips, show them something in Prague or even host them.

I also love traveling and getting to know new places or cultures and I try to visit as many places as possible. Couchsurfing is grat to meet locals, because that's also a very important part of getting to know the place. Plus, it can save a lot of money, if some kind people decide to host you, and money are unfortunately really needed while traveling.

I love languages, I can teach you Czech a bit. I know, not very useful. More useful than Swedish, though! ... OK, depends...

I'm trying to learn Spanish. And trying to stop forgetting German.
