About Me

I'm an aspiring illustrator who loves exploring weird (especially abandoned and inaccessible) places. I enjoy good tea, thunderstorms, cats, autumn, geocaching, languages, and art in its many forms, including visual arts, literature and poetry. Always seeking new experiences to fight the ennui of life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To travel as much as I can and meet interesting new people. I had only two couchsurfing experiences so far, but they were great, and I'm hungry for more. I don't really have the option to host anyone right now, but can't wait to have my own place to be able to pay the community back in the hospitality and kindness it offers to me.

Music, Movies, and Books

I used to regularly consume huge amounts of books, and I still love reading, even if I don't do it as often as I used to. My great literary love are the works of Bruno Schulz; I also like Witold Gombrowicz, Virginia Woolf, quality children's books (Tove Jansson, Astrid Lindgren), and too many other authors to list them, probably. When it comes to movies, I enjoy animations (Secret of Kells, Rabbi's Cat, Song of the Sea, Ghibli) first and foremost, as you would expect from a person who draws. And as for music, I've never paid much attention to the genres and my favourites are a mix of things both classical and modern: Grimes, Kirszenbaum, Bregovic, The Cinematic Orchestra, Hans Zimmer, Rokkuro, Bruno Coulais, Agnes Obel, Radiohead, Olof Arnalds, mum, Anais Mitchell, Dillon, alt-j, Shostakovich, Soap and Skin.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some drawing basics if you've never drawn before and would like to try. I can also tell you about urban exploring and geocaching, and maybe even find a cache with you, if you're up for it!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will happily draw you a little something as a souvenir :)
