ABOUT ME

I love to travel, visit new places and meet new people. Unfortunately last few years were not traveling years for us. We were too involved in our work, plus we had 2 babies. Now we finally plan to change that and go back to our previous lifestyle of "being on the go" - 1-2 months in a year.

PHILOSOPHY

Carpe diem - I like that philosophy although sometimes I have to remind myself about it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to couch surfing, I do not have any experience in that. When me and my husband managed the hotel (in the middle of Iowa) we met few travelers who were biking through the plains and sometimes we spent hours listening to their stories, most of them were on the mission of completing something - like biking all USA west to east. They had blogs which we followed until the end of their trip. We loved meeting them, very often they recommended interesting books to read or blogs to follow.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Unfortunately I do not have much experience. We once hosted a guy - when we still lived in a hotel, but I did not know about CS at that time. He did not have money to pay and we let him stay - he turned out to be very interesting person, cooked us a delicious dinner and had many stories to tell.

Interests

Family is most important for me. My husband and I have 2 little boys that make my life very fun and busy. I love nature, mountains, hiking, skiing, biking. I used to dance professionally in a ballet school and I did folk dancing - which I loved. Lately I enjoy learning Norwegian, I like that language and hope that people will understand me :-)

Music, Movies, and Books

I am so far behind in new trends in music, movies or books... I love new age music, movies - I like movies that bring something to my life - that make me stop and think about life... or laugh, books - Best books I read recently were Ken Follett and Jodi Picoult books.
