Overview
About Me
Sooo I am Dominique and I graduated High School last year, after that I decided to take a gap year instead of diving into the student life. I moved to Beijing and started a Mandarin (Chinese) course at Education First. In February I ended my course and traveled to Hong Kong to get a tattoo and explore the city. Because of couchsurfing my trip was just that little more than on your own. I finished my experience by going to Korea for 10 days with a friend. Following I went to Italy, to work there for 4 months on a campsite.
And now I am back in the Netherlands to get my bachelor Koreastudies. I moved to a student flat to have some nice company and of course the casual home parties.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think this is a great way to meet new friends and experience the complete culture of a country/city. I have had a great time in HongKong because of couchsurfing so I am definitely doing it again on other trips and I am very open for hosting people in my lovely study city Leiden.
Interests
I am a Taekwondo fanatic, although I still have a lot to learn. Out of this my interest for Korea was born. K-pop, K-drama's, North Korea studies, you name it. Languages are also a hobby of mine (if you can call it a hobby haha), I love to submerge in a culture and learn to communicate with the people.
Furtermore I like: to go clubbing, hiking, drawing, watch movies, try new foods, explore new cities and make new friends.
